Eleven Degrees consulting, on behalf of our internal client, Komorock Automobiles and Fabricators Limited, a company in the business of running motor vehicle garage, steel structural fabrication and fleet administration and specifically formed for the purpose of internally serving the Mini Group of companies, wishes to fill the vacant position of a Stocks Controller on Fixed Term Contract Basis to be based in Nairobi.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Workshop Administration Officer, the Stocks Controller will be responsible for overseeing the flow of goods, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring accurate reco
rd- keeping. The ideal candidate must have excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of inventory management principles, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Stocks Controller will collaborate with workshop departments to forecast their demand, minimize stock discrepancies, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the supply chain.
Key Duties/ Responsibilities
1. Stock and Inventory Control
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
- Conduct regular stocktakes in the workstations to ensure accuracy and identify any stock discrepancies.
- Conduct weekly spot checks in their main workshop store to ensure accuracy & identify any stock anomalies
- Coordinate with stores and procurement team to place orders for replenishment based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Organize and maintain the storage and shelving of stock to optimize space utilization and facilitate efficient retrieval.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of stock and resolve any issues related to orders or shipments.
- Implement and maintain inventory management software/systems to track stock movements, monitor reorder points, and generate reports.
- Analyse inventory data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and inventory optimization.
2. Quality Assurance
- Receive and inspect incoming stock, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies.
- Develop and implement stock control procedures and best practices to streamline operations and minimize errors.
- Coordinate with finance and accounting departments to reconcile inventory records and resolve any variances.
3. Health and Safety
- Train and supervise stores team to ensure adherence to stock control procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare & present stock ageing reports, monthly rotational spares report, weekly supplies pending report, credit note reports, Daily gas welding report, Monthly water & electricity readings report.
- Always prepare a written handing over to your line manager in your absentia & should be acknowledged by the covering employee
Academic and professional Qualifications and experience required
- Diploma in Supplies & Chain Management or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a retail, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards related to inventory management.
- Experience implementing process improvements and optimization initiatives in stock control operations.
- Proficiency in inventory management software/systems, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- A Minimum age of between 30 to 35 years.

- Knowledge of inventory control principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
